This is my first photoshop picture. I gotta say, I don't understand or know how to use the tools yet, and it sure takes a long time to do anything, but it does really good coloring. x3Oh, yeah, I would like to know if I did well, if there were things I could have done better, and your opinion of my photoshop pictures compared to my Corel Painter Essentials, if it's not too much of anyone's time.

The image has stayed frankly well, I congratulate you. I am sorry not to be able to help you with the topic of the photoshop ... but I directly not to use it.
As for the comparison ... it is normal that with Corel Painter Essentials the images work out better for you, since you have more experience

You swear this is your first time using it? I got to say if it is you already have to be up there. This doesn't mean though that you don't have any room for improvment. I can't find a single thing that should be changed.

This is the first time I drew something in photoshop and colored it with photoshop. I've had photoshop, I just got to know Corel Painter Essentials 3 first 
I did a few mistakes, and could have put more into places like where the shirt meets the neck. I could have made the fur more detailed, and the shirt. And I could have made the pose more realistic, I think. Plus, there's a black mark that I overlooked. Thats what I think I could do better. <:3

Well, you know how you find a new tool and you treat it like it's the best thing in the world, and don't look for others? <:3 Thats what I've gotten into XD
But I used the dodge tool to make lighter areas.
