Description These are some peanut butter cups that my wife made last night. They are so good and look so cool I had to post them. Plus I saw the macro club was looking for food macro shots, which I have been able to take a lot of great food photos lately.

i love the lighting -- it's bright, but nice for the chocolate.

I actually took this picture in my dining room with the shades open to give more of a natural light feel. Thank you so much for your comment! I will keep it in mind when shooting more sweets.

ohh really? It looked way blown out like artificial light -- but i liked the effect in this picture because of the balance of the main subject. It was a nice balance!

Oh my, I didn't know it was too bright. I do enjoy aperture within photos, pretty much all of mine use it in one way or another. LoL. But I will keep in mind the amount of light that I will use. My wife made some spring cookies that I need to take photos of for her baking site. I will see if maybe opening one blind instead of all of them look like. The chandelier gives off too much yellow light.

well you can still open both blinds, just be sure to read your meter and bring the shutter speed either faster or bring your Fstop up (higher in number like f.8). Does your camera have a meter? I am not familiar with Nikon cameras, sorry.

Like I said, I personally liked the blown out whites in the background/foreground because of the balance of the main subject; it really did work for me well.
