Physical Appearance : Shiny, rich dark coat, long lean legs, light ribcage and long neck.
Physical Traits : Silky long tail, medium mane, large blue eyes, thin and elegantly tapered legs and muzzle.
Temperament : High strung, spoiled, moody. Passionate and easily attached to people or other horses, can be possessive. Still fairly green, requires a skilled rider. Frequently bucks, rears, or otherwise annoys riders just for amusement. However, when he's under control, Knox is a fantastic racehorse and a dedicated worker. He loses interest in tasks easily, and requires an iron hand in a velvet glove. Knox is used to getting his way, and enjoys attention. He's gorgeous and he knows it. He can be overstimulated quite quickly, and sometimes needs his space. He enjoys being groomed greatly. He runs incredibly fast, and holds a lot of potential as a future racehorse.
Knox is the son of Nohlyn ([link] ). He and his sire get on quite well, and Nohlyn is one of the only horses who can share a pasture with Knox without getting annoyed by his show offy antics. Because of his strong, spunky personality, Knox manages to befriend even ornery horses like Mahshah and Starling who usually stay away from younger colts. He and Promise have has disastrous fights however, and have to be kept far apart. The two drafts, Roma and Luca, are both indifferent towards the young cocky colt (in fact, Luca's a bit skittish around him because Knox can be aggressive). There's a very real possibility that Knox will have to be gelded later, because he was bred to be raced. Hopefully it can be avoided though...he's too unruly at the moment to take the track, and but if he calms down and learns how to obey his jockeys he could have a successful future as a stud after his racing career.

Ahhhhhh. I was saving this for later, but I couldn't resist posting it tonight. I wasn't planning on adding anymore horses to my herd, but I had been tossing around the idea of a second racehorse for a while now and it was the color scheme that finally won me over. I'm obsessed with this lovely dark brown + light blue combo, and I think it goes wonderfully with Nohlyn's coat too. So Nohlyn has been one of my favorite characters, but his markings really get to be a pain after a while. Knox is kind of like a streamlined, simplified, super pretty, annoying jerk version of Nohlyn . He's not really that mean...he's just a very confident, mischievous colt who doesn't like authority. So far I'm really pleased with his design. Hopefully you guys will see more of Knox later.
