What am I doing with my life.
I can't stop drawing cats today. Uhg, I HATE Leafpool. She is by FAR my least favorite character in the whole Warriors universe. I hate her more than psychotic Tigerstar, more than all the other Dark forest Nazi cats, more than that weird Sol guy, and even more than Squirrelflight's obsessive rejected ex-boyfriend who tried to kill her adoptive kids (I'm blanking on names at the moment lol). I always found her really selfish and spiteful towards EVERYONE, including Squirrelflight and her kits. And how she kind of pushed her way into Crowfeather's life and more or less ruined it for him by constantly changing her mind and then acting all hurt about it....eh, I just felt like she never really meshed with the rest of the characters properly.
Looking back I realized that the main reason I finished the whole saga is because these books are like Indian soap operas, only instead of unattractive brown people they have violent military cats whose dead ancestors guide them through war with each other and the ghosts of their past enemies using a really intense set of boyscout rules.
BUT... Jayfeather is my favorite character in the entire thing.
I think he's the only one who realizes how dramatic and overreactive everyone else in the series is. The part when he was still Jaypaw and had to be Leafpool's apprentice was really intense, and I honestly loved the whole rivalry between them the whole time. Awww my little Jayfeather.

Leafpool was never selfish :c I mean, yeah, it was wrong of her to leave off with Crowfeather and abandon ThunderClan, but that's the only selfish thing she's done. Have you seen Leafpool's Wish? It explains why she lied to her Clan, with the help of...a certain someone (not Squirrelflight).

I hate everyone you mention--except Jay, not my favourite, but in my top five!
Honestly, I don't know how other cats didn't put it together--I mean, Holly was supposedly lithe/skinny (WindClan!!!); Lion was the only sibling who could have passed as Squirrel's (she was ginge, he was a bit more golden); biggest deciding factor: NEITHER SQUIRREL OR BRAMBLE ARE GRAY OR BLACK OR SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN.

Yeah, but Bluestar and Oakheart weren't black or white and Mosskit was black and white. Jayfeather doesn't look like his parents, either. A lot of kits don't look like their parents so that's something that could be ignored.

Good God, warriors IS a soap opera. Its so obvious when the Erins want to kill a cat off. And they kill them off in the lamest ways. Take Silverstream for example. She died having the love of her life's kits. And when they dragged Bluestar out of the water when she was dragged off a cliff, she died for nothing. No one even bothered getting the water out of her. Then Bluestar was suddenly sane again, saying, "OHHHH FIRESTAR I WAS WRONG" and a bunch of lame crap, and she just HAPPENED to die when she had said everything she needed to.

That's a beautiful piece, Jayfeather's eyes are amazing... I love the point of view and how their faces are angled. Nice job!

I'm not going to go and trash your views, because everyone is entitled to them. However, I actually liked Leafpool, Squirrelflight and Ashfur. Plus, it's not all Tigerstar's fault he ended out the way he was. He was apprenticed to Thistleclaw, and encouraged in ways of brutality and ambition.
Though my favorite character is probably Cinderpelt or Yellowfang.

Ah, I love Yellowfang. I found Cinderpelt's story quite sad, but Yellowfang was definitely one of my favorites in the earlier books.

Sorry if I offended you, but I am an "unattractive brown person" myself and if anything I was making fun of myself and my OWN culture for a rather foolish cultural tradition we have....like a white person making fun of other white people or something. Sorry if you took that so personally but I'm pretty sure the intended audience of that joke got it and isn't concerned because it's actually a phrase used quite often in my "brown" culture.
