I generally have a faible for simple, natural portraits with hard light in front of a grey beackground, but this is even more special.

To be honest I didn't...I just read about it in wikipedia...and the only name I've heard of before is Lars Von Trier...and I have only watched Dogville...which had some parts I loved and some which I thought shouldn't be there...

you should catch the Celebration if you really want to see the essence of Dogme. Von Trier's later films stray from Dogme
