I think the hazy light being emitted from the top left of the corner evokes some emotion at least for me.

I really love this piece. (For some odd reason I seem to like lonely dead trees. O_O) But for me the solitary tree and lighting are what make this picture great. In my opinion the birds are needless and distracing. But that is just my personal opinion. x)

I like how the solitude is reflected on the picture.
It's like the tree is telling me it's sad and it just waiting for years to pass so it can wittle away.
