Farewell pic for Supercon 09.That's in 's Petra costume, and me doing Cocona with a more "accurate" skirt.
Apparently it was too accurate for SuperCon since they asked me to go cover up...
Mr ~Morataya has some awesome pictures of this Shunya Yamashita cosplay that we did back in Jacon (just not with the same skirt >_< )

this looks like fun! ^_^ were there alot of cosplayers? cause im going this year (almost done with my outfit) and i dont wanna walk in and be the only one dressed up. O.o that would be very emberessing.

There isn't much cosplay going on at Supercon (at least not enough for my taste).
It's pretty much a huge exhibitor room and it doesn't have hallways were you can just walk around and expect to see other people in costume, like it usually happens with Cons that are inside hotels.

well are there any other cons that are the oppisite of this? i mean in FL cause yeah. but im going(for the first time) with friends (in my cosplay costume) and we dona wanna seem like noobs T.T

It's a good starter con if you want to see what they're like. But I think Supercons resemble American comic book festivals more than actual anime cons.
This year there will be Metrocon in Tampa, AFO in Orlando, Yasumicon in Miami, if you are in Florida, there's plenty to pic from.

If you don't have much to pick from just go to what you can if you really wanna see what it's like.

Who told you to cover up? I know (being the security director for the show) that we inquired as to whether or not you were wearing undergarmets (for legal reasons), you told us yes, and we told you to enjoy the con and left you alone. Did someone else come up to you later and tell you otherwise, because the official answer I gave you was that your costume was alright...

A girl from staff came up to me later on, I thought she was going to ask the same thing, but just told me straight up I could not continue to walk around like that.
She said they just a "meeting" about my garments and that I had to go cover up.
I said I specifically come to Supercon cuz they don't give me beef about my outfits (ask Mike, on previous events I've gone with a kitty outfit which is pretty much fur for a bra and panties), and its a CON.
She said it wasn't appropiate cuz its a family event and there were children running around (and I quote "There's nine year olds here getting boners looking at your ass and not knowing why"). That I could wear that to the Hentai Party later on and even less if I'd like to.
At that point I was offended and upset, since her suggestions included "putting a napkin" over my rear or w/e else, and that pretty much killed my mood for the con; that's what my outfit was supposed to look like, and I'm not gonna ruin my cosplay for some prudes.
