You had never been normal. Ever since you were born you knew you were different. Your eyes were (e/c) but instead of white on the outside there was yellow….and your blood was indigo. You didn’t have parents. Whenever people saw that they ran away. It didn’t help that you felt voices telling you to kill all the ‘lowbloods’ whatever that meant. Still you were human….right? Well you were part human. You found out the truth when the trolls came. They had invaded Earth about two years ago. That’s when you found HIM.
The Grand Highblood. He found you bleeding. It was nothing bad just a scrape when you fell running from the guards who you would later find out had blue blood. The Grand Highblood had been about to smash you with his club when he saw your blood.

I was running as fast as I could. I know I was a freak but still. I don’t want to die. I had only looked back for a second, there was no one behind me which was surprising after what I had done. I had killed them. I don’t know something in me just snapped. Before I knew it I had grabbed a nearby pipe and started swinging it like a sword.
I hit one over the head and he crumbled to the ground. I was using strength I didn’t know I had. I killed him
But still when I killed him I felt…..great! More. MORE! IM GOING TO KILL MORE OF THEM! I let the grin of a psycho slip its way onto my face as I swung the pipe again. This time it collided with the side of a guards face. I couldn’t stop, not the killing or the crazy grin. That was until….I had killed them all. About 18 guards. Then I could feel myself coming back to reality. And….I was horrified. I wasn’t a killer. I didn’t want to be a killer!
I started to panic. My chest heaved as my breathing got heavy. I felt like I was going to collapse until I saw more guards running toward me. Swords drawn. I ran. Whatever killed those guards wasn’t me. It was something else entirely. It hurt to run while hyperventilating. I kept going. I don’t want to die. I ran for about five blocks before I looked back. I had lost them. But karma caught up with me. I tripped over a rock.
I didn’t end just a scraped knee. It was my only wound but it was pretty bad. I couldn’t put pressure on it. Meaning I couldn’t get up. I stayed like that for about ten minutes before I started calming down. Maybe this was all a dream. Yeah that was it. I would wake up soon in the park. What a foolish thought.
I heard him before I saw him his heavy footsteps shaking the ground. I was looking at the ground so the first thing I saw was the looming shadow that completely covered me whole. When I turned around to face him I wished I hadn’t. He was terrifying. His hair was like mane that was made from the night. He was almost eight feet tall. His horns adding another foot or two. His face was the worst part. It was painted to look like a skeleton and his eyes were red were yellow should be. He didn’t say anything, simply raised his club. But then, he stopped.
His club slowly lowered to the earth. His red eyes fading back to yellow. He reached out…and put his hand on top of my head.

You still remember how gently he picked you up after that. He brought you to his hive and explained all about the trolls. That’s why you were different, you were half troll. It’s hard to believe it’s been two years or about a troll sweep. The Highblood was still but he tried to be kinder. After all he was your matesprit. It was as unfamiliar to him as it was to you. It was very awkward.
And speak of the devil he came in to your roo- respiteblock even after two years you were still getting used to troll terms. You went up to him and gave him a hug. He was so big you couldn’t get your arms all the way around him. He chuckled and let out a cute honk (he knew you loved them) before he picked you up like a doll. “How is my motherfucking miracle?” “Good” He started carrying you out of the room which confused you. “Where are we going?” “It’s a surprise lil’ mama.”
He took you outside and carried you for a while. Then he told you to close your eyes and you did. Even if he tried to control it his ager could still be testy. You felt a breeze blow against your cheek and you could smell flowers. When he told you to open your eyes you were amazed. There was a stream with crystal clear water only a few yards away. There were flowers blowing ever so gently in the breeze and the trees overhead provided the perfect amount of shade. It was a paradise. You never thought you would see such a pretty meadow in real life.

You were too busy admiring everything to realize the Highblood was laying down until you were next to him in the soft grass. He was smiling and while his smile was rare it was beautiful. It’s one of the only time there is no anger on his face. He started to pet your hair. A smile found its way to face as you hugged him. You stayed like that for a while. Just enjoying the sounds of nature under the cool shade. It was so nice and relaxing next to him. Before you knew it your eyes had started to flutter shut. He must have realized because suddenly his hand was on the small of your back and he was telling you to ‘all up and get some rest’.
You listened and let sleep claim you. Right before you did one thought went through your mind. ‘I’m dating a troll….even my relationship is not normal. Oh well.’
