This is a Christmas Art Gift that took me way too long to complete. My apologies for the bleated delivery. This didn't come out quite as well as I'd hoped, But at least it's clear whats going on.Ok, rant time, so brace your self.
I've been waiting for this scene for so long. I waited for it in every episode after bitter work. I waited for it in every scene of the season 2 finale. I hoped and praied and waited for Zuko to turn Azula's lightning back on her. Even after he joined her I held out hope for for a confrontation that would lead to this. During the day of black sun I kept hoping for this to happen. It would have been easy, it would have made sense, and It Would Have Been Good. AND THEY STILL DID NOT GIVE IT TO ME. Sure they showed he could do it when he faced his father, but his father wasn't the one constantly lording lighting over him as a sign of superiority. This would close up so many loose ends, so I'm still holding up hope for this confrontation to play out because I've been waiting for it for so long that if I don't see it by the end of the series I think I might explode.
Well, now that my massive expulsion of nerdiness is over I thank those with the stomach to read it and hope you enjoy the pic.

Man, if Zuko hadn't opened his big mouth, asking "No lightning today? What's the matter? Afraid I'll redirect it?" he would've won the battle!
Maybe even if Azula used her lightning & didn't make it difficult for them, Zuko would have re-directed it and zapped her, making her scream for a minute!
After that minute, Azula would be left to nothing but crumbles!

Afterwards, the sages would come and see what's become of her, Katara & Zuko have a little celebration as they ride back on Appa, and, to fill in time, the viewers would get to see what happens to all those one-time characters (ie Jin, Meng, Mai's family, On-Ji, etc). (
P.S. what was up with Katara as she just stood there, watching the lighting coming towards her? She looked more like than her recent ! Ah, well. At least she stopped CraZula.

YEAH.. i love it when zuko use the move his uncle train him in. i was like omg! when he threw it back to his dad but now.. i cant wait when he uses it on azula or teach Aang to do it. so he can throw it back but yeah!! i cant wait!

I was hoping the move would be relevant in 'The Firebending Masters', what with it being a non-destructive form of firebending that showed a greater understanding of the core concepts. Unfortunately it seems lightning is a highly specialized form of firebending that the dragons don't touch on, which is a shame because lightning spitting dragons would be nine kinds of awesome.

I hope so. Still, I think after Day of Black Sun a showdown between Sokka and Azula might be more satisfying, providing Sokka can pull a big enough skill bump to put up a decent fight.
