Thanks so much ;v; Tried a new shading and lighting style, left it more chunky and smudgy rather than all blurredΒ

Both are nice!
What program do you use?

I switched from SAI to CLIP and I actually really love it. . . .especially the community feature that lets me download new resources others have put out. That's been like, HELLA helpful

What about yourself? What's your go to program?

ahh I use sai.2, i'm kinda spooked to try clip lmao, since i am really well versed with sai

i was gonna suggest, if you use sai, that the "Water colour" tool is really nice for shading

I get that. . . . . I was spooked to try it too, by my friend really pushed me to try and I found I liked it a lot! I found it was a bit more intuitive than Sai! with like a lot more options to mess with. When I first got it, I missed Sai's free deform tool a LOT, but with some new updates Clip has it as well now and that's been SOOOO helpful

I'm sad I never got to mess much with the watercolour tool when I had Sai, but with clip I actually used it for the smudging on this! I'm very scared when it comes to trying to use new tools, I like my pen tool and maybe a paintbrush tool here or there. I am a basic bitch XD BTW, we don't talk much but it's nice talking with you and getting some good tips!

Ahh that's fair, i heard clip is really good, and everyone is switching over to it now. I tried using it for a bit, but it just wouldn't accept the size of my canvases (i spend 80 per-cent of my time working on long ass comic strips) plus clip costs money right? i got my vers of Sai for free.

aahh i see, the think with sais is that you can use it for painting and blending, since you can blend two or more colours together pretty nice,

hey, if the pen tool and brush works for you, hecken rock it.

ohohohh how do you feel about coloured lines matching the clothes/ skin/whatever? i learned a hack for that (and shading) that i feel all artists must know.

I got my version during a huge holiday sale after my free sai started getting real. . . . .'testy' let's call it.
I had issues recently when I moved clip to my new laptop around screen resolution, but I think my issues stemmed from my huion tablet instead of the program.

OOH! GIMME TIPS AND TRIXS! Whether I can use it or not, or will want to or not, I like exploring and experimenting with new styles~~
