I'm now two months into this little project of mine! I like doing group shots anyway, but I thought it might be fun to line up all the Main Six to document how far this project has actually come!Starting from the left:
Rainbow Dash, my first sculpt. She's in serious need of a re-sculpt.
Applejack, my second sculpt, the results of which set me on this course...
Rarity, my forth sculpt and best seller! Damn, I did a good job!
Pinkie Pie, my current project, and eventual 7th sculpt... I'm feeling pretty good about this one right now!
Fluttershy, my 6th sculpt. I really want to finish one of her kits. I did a really good job with her and not being able to see her painted actually pains me a bit.
Twilight, my third sculpt. I still haven't finished painting those streaks of hers... I'll get to it one of these days.
Missing, of course, is Wild Fire, my 5th sculpt. Also not pictured is my sculpt for Pinkamina, which is still a work in progress.

My goal with my prices is to break even with my cost of materials and other related expenses... I can justify donating all my time that I invest into the sculpting as I pretty much started this project for myself anyway. If I sold finished ponies, I would have to charge for those same materials, additional materials (paints, etc), a pony, increased shipping/packaging/packing materials, and *a lot* of labor... It would get quite expensive...
Several artists here on dA have shown some interest in taking commisions at far better prices than I would be able to give... I put a forum thing up on my front page for people to use, and that would be the perfect place to post a message to try to find someone to do a commision.
I know it's not the answer you were hoping to get, but I hope it helps.

It's easy to customize a $5 pony... not sure I can bring myself to customizing one of the fashion sized ponies just quite yet.

I'm wondering, are you going to have a all-in-one six pack at a discounted price when they're all done? Also I really like how you did Pinkie Pie's hair, looks a lot better than the gift set version imo.

I do want to have a discounted 6 pack; how much of a discount it'll be, I don't know yet. Likewise, I'd like to reward those who have purchased kits and came back to order additional kits. I just haven't figured out exactly how yet...
In the case of the "Pinky Pie Pity Party Pack" that I'm planning, it's really an evil ploy on my part to convince everyone to buy an additional cast that they might not have bothered getting otherwise... Is that evil? I think it's evil. Bwa ha ha ha!!! Okay, it's not *that* evil, but I like to don a black cape and big mustache just as much as the next person.
I'm glad everyone likes how the hair is coming out, it'd honestly be quite hard to make it look worse than the gift set version, but I have pretty high standards that I have to meet before I'll make a mold.

I can relate... My family always called the anime I watched "Japanese porn" and told me to grow up... it didn't matter than I never watched the yucky/bad stuff or that the stuff I liked was great storytelling and art. Looking back, I guess it was more teasing than anything...

Try to make Dash's hair somewhat like Applejack (i mean, rainbow's hair looks too "tall"...hope you understand me)

LOL! That hair on Rainbow was very very first attempt at sculpting anything for a pony, and it's absolutely 100% awful compared to the others! Believe me, it's going to be a whole lot better the next time around.
