This is what I would love to see happen in Everest's Mountain Rescue movie (or sub-series). For a long I've been wanting to see a father/daughter dynamic between Everest & Jake developed since their bonding in The New Pup, but it never came out. I was really mad that Jake wasn't in the white wolf episode instead of Turbot, considering putting him in that episode would've helped develop him as her father figure and goin full circle if he saved her life in return.

But with Mountain Rescue getting leaked, I only hope for a moment where Everest feels upset and defeated while losing her confidence, which in my opinion her having low self-esteem feels way more sense than forcing constantly forcing it on Marshall, considering she's always been left out and held back apart from her involvement in Mighty Pups, Jet To The Rescue and her Air Patrol episodes. And that's where Jake can jump in and be her father, giving her that boost she needs to be the hero she was born to become. As you probably don't know, I never really felt it believable when they keep having Ryder doin all the pep talk like he knows everything and have all the answers to help the dogs instead of letting them help eachother out. Like, Everest could've talked to Skye like a big sister back in JTTR for instance, or not letting Marshall be a brother to Chase in the 2021 reboot movie.

And with that said, I do hope with the lack of attention she's gotten since season 7, that this movie (or sub-series) could become Everest's big comeback, and this could possibly mean more moments for these two as the human father and K9 daughter they were meant to be ; )

And I think it would be nice to hear her call him "Dad" ^^
