The comment "It makes you think" comes to mind. I always wondered why the sentence was incomplete - it makes you think about WHAT???? Then I realised they meant it makes them think- Period. As in they usually don't think at all. No wonder humanity is in such a mess....

Heh. This reminds me of the situation in the manga Pretty Face. Of course, there it was a perverted quack who was responsible, and the facial reconstruction was done wrong because he had a photo in his pocket of a girl he was crushing on.

Pretty Face is quite obviously comedy

The funny thing is I got Pretty face just a few weeks after I started this. I'm just glad I didn't have Thomas injured in a traffic accident like I originally planned!

Hah, wow.

It's nice to see the same idea expanded in a serious context, though

Simply because there were no spare male parts available. He didn't even have his own original set!

Wow. Haven't heard of a hospital screwing up that badly before. Remind me just how much of what was donated again?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

otherunicorn In reply to renrosewolf [2008-02-21 20:17:43 +0000 UTC]

The entire girl was donated. That the entire donor was used was agreed to by her parents. Using her name and keeping her appearance was a but stupid, but the major stuffup was by the follow-up people, the "minders", who failed to notice they were sending Sonya to the same school as the donor's sister.

so... what part(s) of this girl's body belonged to the boy she used to be?

Her skull, brain, eyes, ribcage and spine, and the organs within the ribcage are all that remain of Thomas.

i'm not familiar with wtf, assuming you are referring to a story, and not just the usual meaning of wtf.

lol it's true, many of them -don't- usually think X) (guilty)

Do these stories come to you randomly? or out of games? I've always liked your plots (kinda jealous of your storytelling to be honest)

They come from all sorts of places - usually seed inspirations from life, something I read that didn't take the course I though it should have, dreams, etc. After that it's a lot of hard thinking to get something together.

I'm taking animation courses at my college, currently he's telling us that storytelling is the other half of the course... not my strong point : /

otherunicorn In reply to Mutley-the-Cat [2008-02-18 05:30:35 +0000 UTC]

Yes, there isn't much point in animating if there isn't a story to tell! The "simple" key to a story is that there must be a problem for the characters to solve. If all is going well for the characters in the story, there really isn't a story!

my issue is really originality... I suck at making unpredictable/new storys --.-- everything I think of is cliche lately
