Some artists would insist on doing this page as a flashback. That would take many pages, and all too often they lose interest long before they are finished. It is also frustrating for the reader waiting two or three years for the conclusion. This isn't the donor's story, it's Sonya's, so I've used text instead. The story moves along, people get answers. All you have to do is put in the time to read it.

Nice comic so far, i like the explanation you gave for how the transplant was done. His balance problems could be due in part to head trauma sustained during the plane crash as well as the years spent as little more than a torso.

I thought I'd try keep the transplant within the scope of reality. "Magic" tg doesn't really cut it for me, and a direct brain transplant is definitely science fiction. Spinal grafts have been successful in mice, using stem cells to promote the growth. I expect there would be a degree of cross-connection though, meaning the brain would need to re-learn various things though.

Definitely, when i comes to skills it use it or mostly lose it and Sonya'd have an even harder time since that last time she walked was in a quite different body.

Nice render and storyline.

Obviously it's a bit futuristic. I'd think that if stem cells could be used to regrow any cell, it would be easier to have the body regrow the missing limbs and organs over having a surgical implant. But I'm just being nitpicky--who really knows how (or if) that field of science will progress.

the technology exists now to repair damage spinal cords - but so far it's only been tested on animals in the lab. So, yes, it's near future. Some grafting is possible, but nothing currently as far fetched as complete regrowth of limbs, or a brain transplant.
