Description
Part two of the Switzerland story! I call this section "smart guys yelling at each other."Part I: [link]
Part III: [link]
Some notes:
A lot of this section is in reference to a prologue of the Pseudoscientists story: When Dr. Jekyll was 19, he was part of a voyage to the arctic where he encountered Frankenstein for the first time. Frankenstein was at this point frostbitten and hallucinating and near death, but Jekyll painstakingly managed to nurse him back to health. A friendship (?) was started.
The Frankenstein at THAT point was very much the gloomy romantic scientist of the novel. It's meant to be a bit ironic that Frankenstein calls out Jekyll for being depressed and mopey when he himself is more than prone to melancholy moods.
They are both very different people now! But being so much in debt to Jekyll makes Frankenstein extremely uncomfortable, and he tends to respond by being brash and irreverent. (He also is pretty much ignoring the fact that Jekyll is out of his element and could really use his help.)
Also this is one of the silliest Hydes I have ever drawn. Apologies!

I love your character designs and layouts, it's late at night and I'm rapidly falling asleep, but everything is so clear and expressive!

Duuuude you are ridiculous. I'm studying animation as well, and every time you upload something it blows me away. I especially love these last two. The characters are drawn and posed so well, and I can really hear the characters' voices in my head! Honestly, it's a little intimidating, since I'm working on my senior project and I don't feel nearly as skilled as you.
But anyway, not to be awkward, your stuff is just great

Wellp, your other films that I've seen that you linked to on your journal or wherever were fantastic, so I'm sure this one will blow everyone out of the water as well xD

I love this. They certainly do grate on each other's nerves. At least it makes things interesting. I like the way the creature's face came out at the very end. It looks a lot more like how I pictured the creature from the book.

Perennially pissed off and irritated at his creator's pettiness and stupidity? Yep, that's the creature for you!

Let me know if any specific voices or music pops into your head! I'm always looking to put together a "soundtrack" to my Jekyll and Hyde story. XD

Okay, I laughed at Henry's utterly failed attempts at landing solidly on a tree as he slides down the mountain. Henry makes some excellent expressions and hand gestures, as well.

I'm really glad that someone laughed at my one correctly set-up joke XD
I try to make good gestures! At Pixar my mentor would be more or less constantly facepalming at the sucky acting in my boards, so I have been trying to make them more animated.

Something tells me the good doctor is not entirely himself presently. But I suppose even gentlemen have ill moods.

Well....! He IS being dragged more or less against his will through treacherous mountain paths. And he's dealing with Emotions that he's used to keeping tightly sealed up. But yes, perhaps just a little bit he is not entirely himself!
