~Mysticmidnightmaiden said to draw anything for her second commission, so I used this opportunity to work on Jekyll and Hyde emotions, yaaaaaaay! *flail*Since they're by far my favorite characters, they're really hard for me to draw. :\ I think I'm getting somewhere in getting a concrete model for both of them, but it's not there yet.
The picture on the left was a silly playing card idea that pops into my head every now and again. Selective gravity!

Oh man. You seriously blow me away EVERY time. It's so inspiring! I love how sometimes you give Hyde a Jekyll look and vice versa! They interchance facial expressions, and it has SUCH a cool effect! Really helps make the link between the characters. Also how Hyde can sometimes look like a naughty little kid, then a psychopath.

YAY! I'm glad you caught onto that. 8D I work with the idea that since they look different, their expressions should hint that they're the same person in some way. Hyde is silly--it's like he's read up on how to be really evil but just doesn't have the experience sometimes.

Hah! I love the card; I think it's a perfect representation of your Henry and Edward, and a great way of working practically in the space that you set up within the picture.
This is just me talking, so feel totally free to disregard, but I feel like you're doing a little too much with their designs, making the faces too sharp, especially around the eyes. The shapes of the eyes themselves are wonderful and very characteristic of your style, but certain things (like the shadows/bags around Hyde's eyes and Henry's nose) don't feel like you at all. And though stretching out in new directions is the way to grow as an artist, it feels a little like you're trying too hard.
But then again, maybe I like your old designs wa-ay too much, and am just having trouble moving on.

In my original ORIGINAL designs, Hyde's eye-circles used to be WAY HUGER. XD The way I'm working now is more from observation of superold Jekyll movies and noticing the SUPERDRAMATIC eyebrows that guy has. They cast these dark shadows all around so yeah.
The nose I've just never figured out. It's the most volatile part of his design right now--you may notice it's drawn differently (for both Jekyll and Hyde) in every darned pose. :\ I'm defining it super-strongly with those two lines just to make sure it doesn't disappear altogether, lulz. I'll have to tackle it later.

Jekyl/Hyde is on of my favorite stories. I have caricatured this cat about a thousand times and I sell every one of them You have inspired me to do another. This is just and awesome gallery of drawings.
