Wonderful work as always. But I am curious about the lack of details on the rear hatch of the VW.

It just totally hit me when I looked at the art. My eye was drawn right to the hatch. Perhaps it's just me. I see plenty of details on the station wagon grill, but the hatch of the VW just looks unfinished to me. JUST my opinion, and just an observation. Your work always rocks and we all know it.

You have NO IDEA who cool it was to see Star Wars for the first time. It was a religious experience. Nothing like it had ever been seen before.

My dad says 'bout the same thing. Most adult sci-fi geeks that I've met and talked to say their greatest experience was seeing that little white ship, followed by the big gray ship, flying over a desert planet, shooting at each other.

Ha Ha! That was a damned impressive shot for sure. I went with a few buddies, and we actually went to THE first showing in Akron, Ohio! We were such geeks! Nobody yet knew what a phenomenon the film would become. I recall one of my buddies saying:"Oh My God!" as the Star Destroyer entered the frame and just seemed to go on forever. Right after that we all knew we were in for a treat! We were NOT disappointed.

This world would be such a terrible place if not for visionaries such as George Lucas and James Cameron!

Well, I'm more of a Lucas fan than I am Cameron. He seems like such an asshole from many reports.

I like the Terminator films, but was not at all crazy about TITANIC or AVATAR. BOTH are Chick Flicks in my opinion.

Srsly? Ok, I can understand Titanic, but Avatar? ...
At any rate, I enjoyed both (Titanic and Avatar) and I like James Cameron as a film-maker.

Nope. This is a memory of his, seeing the film with his family at a drive-in. The commission was ordered months ago. And I've never seen the book, so any similarity to anything in it is purely coincidental, I assure you.
