EDIT Made stuff on new pony lighter.------------
On the left is my ponysona, Rainbow Ink. And on the right... is my original ponysona and the first pony OC I ever created- Yinyi. Of course, originally she was in the older version of My Little Pony- she's back from the days I watched that. Now she sports a new look, but apparently she's somehow met her ponysona counterpart.
I have to say, I almost like her design better then Rainbow Ink's. Her cutie mark, bangles, and hoof-thing all match her coat a bit better too. Oh, and she's not an earth pony, alicorn, unicorn, or pegasus- she's a type of pony I created (Remember: this was back when I didn't know anything about mary-sues and such). I think she was called a hoofwing pony or something. You get the gist- she has wings on her hooves.
And she has a beret.
Because somepony asked- by 'older generation' I don't mean the horrifying generation three. I mean generation one.

As for the actual work, I think I did good this time around. I still can't get it quite right, but my 'vector MLP' style is coming along quite nicely.

I am just saying that normally alicorn OCs bother me, but this one surprisingly doesn't! I love the overall style of it, and I'm really glad you didn't go off and make her super important to everypony there is. It's really awesome!

Well, my alicorn was sort of a fancharacter of g1, so that's why it's a bit different from the overpowered ones you get in g4 XD

I don't see negative comments anywhere.
I think if anyone had said anything it'd probably have been about the things you did that were unusual. I don't know why people hate creativity within their fandom. I also don't know why playing one of the rare ponies automatically causes people to yell "mary sue"!
To me, mary sue depends not just on the thing made, but also on how it's written and in order to qualify, it has to be written poorly.
I see nothing wrong with your old or new oc. 
And your MLP Vector style is nice.
It's cute and unique.
Remember to use a slightly darker shading color on the hooves farthest from the view and you'll have it mostly down.

I mostly get negative remarks in chatrooms- there just aren't enough alicorns in those things!
I agree with the part about the writing- as long as you write your characters correctly, they're not really Mary-Sues.. of course, there are plenty of exception.
And yeah, I never do the shading on the hooves at the back. I'm not sure why, it just totally slips my mind. I'll have a checklist of things I need completed, including just that, and I'll ignore it XD.

My alicorn is not in charge of something most people even really understand, less something that they'd think was over-powered... so I think that could be something that keeps me from gettin a ton of rude comments.
Did you see my first pic of Cypher tho? Some girl tried to call him Mary Sue and I just mostly made fun of it. No reason to get upset. People will be people.

Not generation 3.5, don't worry.
I wasn't born in the time period for generation one of My Little Pony, but I found it on youtube last year and really like it.
I kind of completely and utterly hate all of the other generations besides 1 & 4. Sorry if you're a fan of them....
