Description
My best "selling" pic ever (if you wondered how many sales, think not many) and a study in what nature does to cling to life, in this case I could not decide if the tree was walking over the cliff or trying to hold on....please note: This is a higher resolution file of the original submission to ensure better print quality

Great picture, I just taught about this in my class the other day. I think it's a type of erosion that's called creep that causes that. Really beautiful picture.

This is on the lip of Bryce Canyon, right? I'm pretty sure I remember this exact tree from my trip there
Beautifully framed shot; the composition of it is really well thought-out.

I think because of the "stance" of the tree it would be walking over it proudly, but if you look at the roots it's all like omg if I let go I'm dead. lol So I think it shows the symbiotic nature of the tree and the ground, but I think the tree is not willing enough to full out admit it lives because the ground, but it won't leave (or at least not the area it still moves but verrryyyy carefully lol) and it stands proud.
I love it !
