OH GOSH. I -LOVED- this performance of "Rent"'s "Take Me or Leave Me" during the "Comeback" episode of Glee.

I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by this performance. No, it isn't "Maureen and Joanne"....but I think that's what I love so much about it. I LOVE this song. I LOVE Rent. But I think that what Ryan Murphy and the writers did with it to make it work in context...is phenomenal.
I also love that since they're both singing Maureen's part, it becomes a diva-off song. And not a lover's quarrel song.
I was really curious as to how they would do this without making them seem like lesbians. I was so happy that this was not the case and it turned into something more than that.

Just like when Kurt turned "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" from a romantic song into a song about his sick father. It's all in the interpretation, and I really commend Ryan Murphy and the writers for making these songs work so well for the context.

Now, onto my next point.

Everyone needs to put on their big-girl panties and stop freaking out so much about the "Blame It On The Alcohol" episode and the Rachel/Blaine kiss.
Yes, I know you want Kurt to be the one kissing Blaine. But think about it....do you really want Kurt and Blaine's first kiss to be at a drunken party?
I am a Klaine shipper, people.

But I am also coming out and saying I am a HUGE Rachel fan. And I continue to go back and forth with Rachel and Kurt as being my favorite character.

Now. I can almost GUARANTEE YOU that Rachel is not trying to steal Kurt's man. They are drunk. It's spin the bottle. People make these mistakes...I know I have. Which is just another reason why I identify so much with Rachel's character.

But everyone continues to hate on Rachel. Why? Because she can be annoying. Because she's made mistakes and messed around where people don't want her nose in. But the girl has so many -positive- traits, yet people overlook them because they're too busy hating her.

It really makes me sad, even more so because I find that I'm a lot like her. Or at least, I was more like her in high school.

That being said, I SUPPORT RACHEL/MERCEDES/KURT FRIENDSHIP. I THINK THEY ARE BFFJILLS FOREVER. <3

So when, at the end of this song, Rachel and Mercedes found their peace with each other, it made my heart melt a little.

That is, of course, until Mercedes went right back to being cold to Rachel at the end. I never really liked her character. :/
