Description Little Dotterel, wading around in the shadows There are a couple of pairs living along the creek and around the house. Haven't found any nests or spotted any young yet - but am hopeful!

I'm getting there slowly
Have just started up working again too, which is good for me, but also still cuts down the time I have to dedicate to photography... Thank you

Actually I too have not gone out for almost 4 months. And I miss it.
Please do not let it overpower you. keep on going birding regularly.

All the best!

It's easy to get caught up in life isn't it. I found it hard being interested in anything recently, after Mum. Everything is unreal and stressful. But I'm starting to get a handle I hope, work is starting again too so at least I'm not sitting in the house. Should get lots of shots at work again Got a new lens yesterday!!! Can't wait to try it out
You to!

It sure is. And the good thing about it is that you get used to everything.

Which lens did you get wohoa? 600mm monster? Give it  to me

Lets see what you get outta new lens.

By the way I never imagined life below 400mm. How is it, like wide angle???

Have used so much 400mm that my eyes too act like zoom eyes now

Well lets see what you do with 105mm

I still haven't really had the opportunity to test it out properly, but it seems versatile I got it for an 'all rounder', because I'm still serious about getting into babies/kids and also something I could use for landscape as well
Haha, I'm like that too! My 100-400mm will always be my most well used lens Can't do without it for wildlife!!
Can't wait to see myself Have been at work this week - weather was unreal. 40 plus degrees and humidity all week nearly wrecked me! So yeah, that's why I haven't really tested it out!

landscape and portrait sort photography is too tough for me. The perks of birding/wildlife are that you never ask them to pose for you.

40 plus degrees??? wow I can't stop shivering at this below 10 degree

Well STILL WAITING FOR A DEMO

I'm into pretty much all of it lol. Makes it difficult to concentrate on learning the tricks for one style though. Trying to do to much at once.
Week before last was unbelievable! This past week was okay - but it kept raining and stuffing my work up. Which is where I am now. Whilst I HAVE been finally testing out the new lens, it will be at least another week, maybe more. The rain buggered up my time table lol. But there are new photos!!!!

MY DA was down for a long time, in my country. Just got back. So hopefully you have tested your camera and hope you are doing great with your work and all!

Great capture! The red accent around the eye and on the beak makes this bird look quite striking. You are lucky to have them around your place, and this is a wonderful photograph!
