Well, we still got Moogles.
And plus, SE added Schwazergeist and Endymion from Einhander and even the remixed and original version of Thermosphere, so I forgive them for the lack of FF characters.

I haven't finished the game yet, but even I've noticed that the Disney stuff is REALLY heavy-handed in this one (I find the Attraction special attacks a bit obnoxious in fact, and why did they change the Summon command to Link? Or did they do that before and I just forgot?), with barely a glimpse at any Final Fantasy character after 5 worlds.

I think they changed the summon command to link in Birth by Sleep (no clue why, I guess it's shorter)
but Yes I completely agree with the Disney attractions, I like the water splash one because it's so stupid but funny. They add nothing to the game and instead pull you out of the world/theme your currently in and they all feel too long.
The lack of Final Fantasy characters was disappointing but I felt they appeared less and less each game, what a loss
