Description Here's my latest digital painting I've been working on for a while. Took me over 9000 hours or so, but I like how this one came out

Fanart for Team Fortress 2, digitally painted in SAI, needs some final touches though, so it's not completely finished. I might add some posters or some more objects later, but that's it for now.

Note: I used a few in-game screenshots/TF2-related images for reference.

So this painting features one of my favorite and most played class, the Engineer, who has set up his typical turtle base in 2fort, except in a more comfortable fashion. Not much is needed to be said about the Pyro, as you can see..

naww, its not really awesome, but happy to hear that It just takes some practice and patience when it comes to drawing/painting, take time to observe and study people, objects, landscapes, buildings, simplify your mind and just focus on the familiar shapes, colors and differences in lighting, and not what it does or what it means.

Thanks for the advice, but as for the "observe and study people" tip, I tried that and now I can't get within certain distances to certain houses without being shocked...(I'm joking of course)

That's right, and unfortunately, I'm a 2fortaholic but that's not to say I dont play the favored payload maps like goldrush and badwater, and arena. I haven't been playing TF2 recently though, just went on a couple days ago and I find out that TF2 is now a game about hat trading.

Wow, I really thought this was a Gmod screenshot for a couple seconds there. This is really amazing.
And it's also the main reason I don't play Engie a whole lot. I can't stand sitting back, waiting. I'd rather be in the action (though, that's not entirely true, as I play spy a whole lot).
Incidentally, I'd really like it if Engie could build a cooler for drinks

i dont know about everyone else, but I kinda enjoy sitting back and relaxing in my reclusive nest, keeping an eye on everyone and wrenching my crap, and the usual nonstop hoedown. Probably the reason why I drew this in the first place

Well, I can definitely see the appeal (especially with the aid of this picture), but I've often found that I can't sit back for too long before I get impatient and want to go kill people. However, I always appreciate the Engies that can tolerate it. Especially while I'm playing heavy. Teleporters are a must

You could just be the Engie who sets his stuff up and runs around with the shotgun. That's what I usually do...I get more kills that way. Also, the mini-sentry makes for good offensive play, and that note; don't use the Frontier of Justice...idc about crits, does less damage and has less ammo.
