Personality: Much like a tortoise, Nim is patient, practical, and stubborn. She is objective and blunt in her observations, to the point of crudeness. Her impartiality extends from that of just the kingdoms to social status of herself and others, and often appears to both like and dislike everyone, rarely playing favorites. Still, she can be quite charismatic and highly adventurous, curious, hedonistic, and dreamy. Motivated by adventure, money, and the chance for a good story, she intends to travel the whole of the continent, and only hopes Mistilos and Erenil don’t destroy one another long enough for her to do so.History: Nimue does not share the full details of her history often. The only consistencies are that one, she had a mother, two, she left, and three, she found Titania and they bonded. While Nim would not divulge this herself, she has lied about the details of her history so often that some of the lies have become truths and some of the truths have gotten lost, buried under tall tales. The truth, in part, is as follows.
Nimue’s mother, of unclear background (sometimes of witch, of mercenary, of concubine, of merchant), fled one of the kingdoms into Abyssus. The reasons for this are likewise unclear, though Nim suspects treason--she was too young at the time to know for sure, and her mother also ensured to never give her a proper answer. This lack of clarity eventually concreted in Nimue both an inherent distrust in both kingdoms and a desire to explore the two further. The two fled, eventually, all the way to Oldshore, setting up a tumultuous home in the ruins of the town. There, Nim both learned how to survive in an unforgiving landscape, and met Titania, the greatest companion of her life. Their bonding was slow, steady, and patient, and now forever constant. When Nimue’s mother eventually passed, Titania offered her back to Nim, and the two set off to explore.

Personality: Similar to Nimue, Titania is likewise patient, practical, and stubborn--their similarities tend to end there, as Titania is brutally honest and forthright. She doesn’t care for Nimue’s dishonest nature, but will occasionally let it go so long as she’s not the one being lied to. Since their bonding, Titania has adopted the role of a second mother, having a nurturing and forgiving heart, despite Nimue’s faults and misdeeds. She enjoys their life of travel and adventure, and is only in a rush for the sake of Nimue’s comparatively shorter lifespan. She encourages peace and diplomacy, but does not fear causing damage if she feels she must. While apprehensive to be around many other pokemon and humans, she is also very excited to try and make some friends.History: Hatched nearby where Nimue and her mother would eventually make their home, Titania was already a Grotle by the time the Marivics arrived. She lived with a group of other turtwig, grotle, and torterra, nestled comfortably near a lake. Nimue would go there often to fish, and, after catching sight of Titania watching her every time, gradually began sharing some of her catches. Nimue learned Titania's diet, bringing her fish, fruits, and vegetables, leaving them like offerings in her fishing spot once she departed. Over a period of months, Titania gradually got closer and closer to Nimue when she was present, until over a year had passed and Titania finally made physical contact with Nimue, allowing her to briefly touch her shell. Their bond as magi and familiar began then, much to both of their surprise.
While mother Marivic scolded the young Nimue at first for wasting time and food, she found herself relieved that her daughter finally had, in essence, a friend. Any rare passerby that came across them weren't trusted, and never stayed long. She let Titania stay. The two have never left one another's side since.

NOTES
- Nimue is missing her right leg. Her prosthetic is made of the same tree that grows on Titania’s back. Her story for how she lost it is always different.
- The plants that grow from her prosthetic also sprout in her hair. They’ve grown more numerous the longer she and Titania have been together.
- Nim shares Titania’s eye color, and she smudges her nose with charcoal to mimic Titania’s beak.
- The yurt on Titania’s shell is large enough for Nim to stand up only in the very center of it. It’s made of a lightweight wood, and the interior consists of a small bed with a trunk of personal items under it, a storage area for goods, and cushions for the seating of one guest. Two guests would be pushing it, but doable.
- The tree has charms, chimes, bells, rope, moss, plants, and the occasional small pokemon nesting in it. It jingles softly as Titania walks.
- Both Nim and Titania are quite fragrant, smelling of earth, moss, flowers, incense, and whatever plant Nim cares to smoke that day.

Well, Nimue certainly seems an exuberant character! I think meeting her on the road would be a noteworthy experience.
Also, the pretty, little bells and charms on Titania are a really nice detail; they really help convey the idea that she's somebody home.
