That's a really unusual building. Just one question. I've been playing with HDR with varying success. Are the +/-1 EV exposures strictly needed in this situation?

Yes, in my opinion it's the architectural highlight of the city.
Not sure if the +- 1EV were really necessary. I think it's more important to cover a wide range (e.g. +- 2 EV) in that situation what with the light coming from almost in front of me and the shadows under the station's roof etc.
