Description
Started with a photo (lined it up and worked on my sketch though), I just wanted to try out something and I realized the final result is totally different from the starting one; argh, I wish I had those lips!The expression is quite sad .-. *moody moody*
I also tried to reproduce shadows by blurring the original pic, but it didn't come out as I wished to, so I had to overabuse of smudge tool, olol.

All created on computer, I could barely draw chibis with my pencil xD
though I used a picture as reference, even if the final result doesn't really resemble the original one;

My tablet barely costed 100$, you don't need to buy a Wacom as first tablet, just get a cheapie one with at least 500 levels of depth, that's it!

For privacy reasons I can't link you my friend drawings (he's not on deviantArt and he didn't publish anything as he works on other fields). but. A friend of mine that wanted to vanish off this mhyth about "wacom tablets are a must have" bought a 30$ tablet and made out awesome masterpieces drawing potraits of famous actors. What is important is the depht and how you set the software, then if the tablet has good drivers. Nothing else imho. Then it's all up to photoshop, sai, and all the softwares in which you have to set up brushes & co. And lol, what about you spend 100000000000$ for a Wacom Tablet and then you realize drawing using tablet is not what you planned for your graphic career? hihi, let's say a cheap tablet should always be a first stage, in any case!

Let's say I never studied art so I have no real clue about how to shade, so all I tried out was to use the smudge tool with various tips just to mark the face, without really worrying about the shades >: ref picture helped with eyes, but I'd say I'd have better dedicate more time XD!
