Description
This is for the contest held by the group . The task was to draw a pony (or ponies) exhibiting one or more of the six stages of depression. They are (in order from left to right): Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance, and Ambivalence. Here, Twilight's friends have all died, and she is visiting each of their graves in turn.

In the denial stage, she has just visited one of the graves for the first time, and she cannot believe that this cold rock could symbolize a pony with so much warmth (any of the Mane 6, really).

In the anger stage, she's probably asking Celestia (or the world) something like this: "I thought you asked 'What is the princess of friendship without her friends'! What am I now, then?!"

In the bargaining stage, she is attempting to make things better with magic, since she's something like a goddess. However, she soon realizes that all of her attempts are doomed to fail.

In the depression stage, she has all but given up hope as she tries to embrace the gravestone to find warmth that is no longer there.

In the acceptance stage, she has gotten over the sorrow and has promised to keep her friends in her heart, because as long as the memories live there, they will never truly die.

Finally, in the ambivalence stage, it can be 2 years later or 2,000. Either way, she has all but forgotten her friends, maybe making new ones or simply no longer caring.

Additional notes: This took way too long. xD I had to get it done in one sitting, because the file size was too big to save it with the multiple layers. It took 3-4 hours, not counting the sketching time. Any critiques are welcome and appreciated. In no way are any of these individually my best piece, but I think it came out at least decently as a whole.
