Description
Is it me? Or does this provide backing for the idea thatο»Ώ Maine couldn't do anything on his own. Not that he wasn't capable, it was that he was like an attack dog. He always needed someone to tell him what to do; to tell him what he was doing was "a good job". The Director used him, Sigma used him, Wash (kinda) used him... could just be me, but I think it's a sound theory.Either way, Season 10 is coming out and we're all about to be treated to a great show

So... Β This is what would have happened if Frodo kept the One Ring...

The Alpha is Meta. Totally. I mean, Church was all kinds of human. But he was an AI. So, Church has reached the Meta state! (Tex, too!)

...hunh. Never thought of that. That's definitely an interesting idea though, that he had a hard-wired limitation just like Tex did.

I do not view Maine as an attack dog, but rather as being similar to an addict. The relationship between him and Sigma is like Golum and the Ring or like Eddie Brock and the alien symbiote.
"And He asked him, "What is thy name?" And he answered, saying, "My name is Legion: for we are many"

He is an addict, but he's always needed someone (or at least had someone) to tell him what to do. And when no one was there (after the EMP went off and killed the AIs {maybe...}) he started tripping around without his drug or a voice to tell him he was going a good job... It sort of makes him look almost sympathetic. It wasn't his fault, he just never knew better.

You think that killed him? A man who was shot in the throat, survived a plane hitting him, and a lot else? There's a chance he lived.
