I will protect youLast time I drew carefree newbie Homura. This time I drew skilled, weathered and determined Homura < 3 ( I dunno where she is, so I'll just say this is during "Wally-Night" )
*joodlez Actually pointed out to me that I followed the same progression as the actual story. Rookie Homura to Pro Homura.
I like Megane Homura better, but you gotta love any form of a girl who can THROW A TRUCK FULL OF EXPLOSIVES AT AN ENEMY, THEN RIDE IT UNTIL IT EXPLODES IN THEIR FACE.
Overall, I'm pretty okay with it.

The contrast between purple eyes and electricity and the rest is great and emphasize the purple parts.

Hell yeah, purple and black, that is awesome. Pretty nice way to add some flair to an otherwise b&w painting!
Oh also, just nitpicking but the barrel depth of the gun pointing towards the viewer could be a bit black, to indicate its hollowness and depth. Perhaps like this? [link]

Other than though, it is pretty kickin'. Love the solid black, the clean lines and the sort of dirt/texture and smoke, makes it look clean yet a bit rough and realistic, makes it all go together better. Or something!

Quite impressive: one of the flaws I usually see with manga/anime-inspired art is that it seldomly gives up to its "cuteness" and often ends up not conveying much emotion. Your piece, with the way you inked it roughty in places and the way you defined the skin creases around the eyes still remains alluring but conveys a lot more emotion than most.
Great job in creating the effects and framing the girl.
