The latest Pokemon Games in Japan, I saw the new legendaries and this was the first image in my head!
The actual cover of the games is much more epic
(yes, i know that the titles are on the wrong games......mention it and DIE!!!!!!!)
P.S. I still love the games(even if they DO steal from yu-gi-oh)

Know what's even more funny? The fact the respective elements of the creatures displayed is swapped.
To clear out further confusions, Blue-Eyes is likely electric while Red-Eyes is fire-based.

Steal from Yu-Gi-Oh? I'll bet you a million dollars that it was just a coincidence. Zekrom and Reshiram have been stated to of been inspired by Yin and Yang, and as for eye colors....I actually can't think of a better eye collar on either of them.
The only resemblance I really see at all is the colors, and nothing else.

I like how the elements are reversed in this picture. What I mean is in the games/anime etc, Reshiram (the white one) is a Fire/Dragon type, while Zekrom (the black one) is an Electric/Dragon type. Here, Blue Eyes' attack is "White Lightning" while Red Eyes' attack is "Molten Fire Blast." I'm so detail-oriented to have noticed that, lol.

That's not entirely true. They both came out in 1996. Although Yu-Gi-Oh came in December, about 9 months after PokΓ©mon, it's not enough of a difference to really have an impact on each other's works.
Meanwhile, Digimon came out in 1997, so it's a bit later than the other two.
Still, mid-to-late 1990s was when all these monster games really started gaining steam in North America.

Well, i likethe concept actually but for it to trulymimicthe real games you'd have to have Red-Eyes on White and Blue-eyes on black (yes i know i'ts confusing and backwards) but i do have to admit that i would not mind seeing poke'mon &Yugioh meet up and create a special game with Duel Monsters being captured andsummoned form cards like POke'mon
