I couldn't tell that it was a Star Wars piece at first. Well done!

I wish! Although I guess subconsciously that did play a part...

What I particularly like about your Falcon is that you have kept the slightly dirty and shabby feel of the original. Renders that are too "clean" can sometimes spoil the immersion, especially if the subject is one so well-loved as this.
I officially feel old now by the way. The original three films are being shown on terrestrial tv in the UK at the moment and I asked my neighbour what he was doing when the first one came out. His reply? "Oh that. I wasn't even born then."
*mumbles into his beer* Jar-jar-bloody-Binks! Hah! Youngsters! When we wanted to get to the Death Star we had to walk! Uphill! Both ways!

...in the snow, wind blowing in our faces while working! Absolutely!
Thanks about the textures. I tend to make things look a little more grungy if I can. I don't like the polished look either. It's not realistic. And yes, I know what you mean about feeling old. Everytime I get excited about something from 20, 30 years ago I get looks like I've just jumped out of my straight jacket. Get used to it kids, there was a time before the internet! Really. There was!

Very nice. I loved working with Bryce, but I now have a MAC and they are not compatible. Excellent work.

Thank you.
I hadn't actually used Bryce since version 5, but since it's free nowadays... It doesn't have the fastest render engine, but certain settings provide much better results at a shorter render time with lower system resources (compared to Vue or Terragen). Since my laptop's not the most current hardware, I'll try and squeeze out as much as I can!

I tried Vue and Terragen (Trial versions) and found them very difficult compared to Bryce. I am hoping it will one day become compatible with Mac Lion.

Well, their texture modes are a little more cumbersome. And Terragen is definitely resource intense. They've certainly made some major improvements in Bryce and looking at the stuff people like ~davidbrinnen are doing with it, it certainly doesn't have to hide anymore!

That is absolutely freaking amazing. I may just buy the new Bryce and put it on my work laptop PC and then import finished images onto my Mac to use with photoshop or Cinema 4D. Thanks for sharing the link.

You could always install a windows OS onto your mac, as a secondary boot option - then you COULD still have your access to stuff that isn't always usable in MAC OS'

Absolutely! You're welcome. You could also always run a Virtual Machine on your Mac with Windows, or a Windows emulator. I think there are some available, like Wine.
