Hmm now this is one of the oldest pictures I still have currently on this laptop n.n I do believe it is a 2003 piece...and one which took several hours in order to reach completion. The sketching took around 4-5 hours to complete, the toning of a scaled creature is harder than it appears xD and then the digital enhancement took a few hours because back then I was a complete rookie in Ulead Photoshop (okay so I still am).
Robin Hobb fans may recognise this magnificent creature as being one of the serpents mentioned in the Liveship Trader series as indeed that is where he is from...I'm not sure who I had in mind when I drew this, it was a long time ago.
Well I think I explained everything...under-sketching completed with graphite pencil, overlay and image enhancement through Ulead Photoshop, creating this master of the seas.
