I'm curious to know how you mange to get such a well blended effect using relatively hard pencils - is this down to the particular eraser you use, or the blender or both?

The paper stump creates this effect, especially old over-used ones with a rounded tip.

I'll have to start using mine more in that case - I never manage to get the effect I want with them so I give up while they're still relatively pointy

It would be nice to sometime see a time lapse/video of the detailing phase, like see it all, because that's often what people skip or shorten in videos and to me that's one of the most interesting phases and I'd love to see how you get the patterning (in this case, stripes) in place

I think it just all comes together rather quickly at the end, and often requires full concentration rather than fiddling with the camera. You're right though, this stage is often rushed. I'll definitely keep this in mind the next time I make a video. Thanks!

Don't fiddle the camera, let it be and do your thing Understandable though, but ofc would love to see it more in the future <3

Love seeing these progress images and how your work comes to life.

I honestly love seeing all these different species you’re drawing. I will suggest... a bird. Any bird.
