Description I'm sure some of you sc-fan guys remember him. 8D Not sure how his armour really looks like, I can't really find Drazz's design of him, so, some random stuff. Notice the lstatis cell is not empty. 8B

This is supposed to be a scene from the Dark Origin, a secret mission, where he is having a not so delighted chit-chat with Zeratul. Uhm yeah. He is probably just about to start up that little conversation.

Oh, Duran! I don't know if you used pencil and photoshop, but in any case "An excellent portrait of him, you have created". Good coloring, face, posture and choice for background: the character isn't lost in it, but highlighted by the contrast and light.

I can feel the nostalgia kicking in already. You have my utmost aprecciation for it.

Greetings and good luck!

Thanks! It's PS only with a tablet. I ought to make something better of him someday, this pic was totally experimental in the regard of colouring.

Oh and welcome on DA!

I would agree with the first commenter - This is well-done. The fact that Duran is hardly seen in the fan-art makes this worthwhile as well.

Heh, thanks. I hope they'll be sexy bringing him back in one of the remaining SC2 sequels (zergs and protoss FTW). Would have more reference of him and probably would spawn more fanart of him. XB Yay.

Duran was in WoL actually.

did you you not notice the Moebius foundations leaders name?

rememer Dr.Narud? spell that one backwards.

and also listen to Kerrigans line about seeing through his "Pathetic charade" and then Naruds nervous response.

Oh dear... I SHOULD HAVE SEEN IT!!! It's so obvious. 8D Dr Narud... he IS afterall a stealthy lil' shapeshifter... Narud... man, he is so unimaginative... XD

Wich quest was it? I'm might have skipped it accidentally. Or I haven't played it yet. XB

its the Moebius factor, its part of the artifact chain IE it is mandatory.

yeah Duran didn't seem to spend much time thinking of a new last name (Narud's first name is Emil) also he didn't even change his facial hair style (did change his skin and hair color though).

still pretty much everyone who knew Duran is dead (Kerrigan, Zeratul, and Stukov (lol Ressurection IV) are the only one's alive who had extensive interaction with him, Raynor and Mengsk met him like once but they didn't really get to know him at all) and Narud while uncommon is an actual real name, so it shouldn't cause to many problems (though Kerrigan seems to know who he is but thats likely due to her psionic powers and what not)

also explains how the hell the foundation knows about the artifacts, where they are, and what they can do.

Duran seems to actually be behind most of the events in WoL in hindsight.

I would agree. I can see it being a challenge however, unless part of the protoss campaign involves assaulting the zerg-protoss hybrid laboratories on the dark moon. As such, I can see Duran being an enemy throughout the rest of Starcraft II.

I can see him trying to take control of the Swarm in HoTS in the name of his master or something.

would be an interesting antagonist for Kerrigan.

I would definitely agree. Given that the end of WoL displayed a mostly-restored Kerrigan with the tendrils in place of her hair, something tells me that she'll still be able to exert her influence over the Zerg swarm, although maybe not to the same extent that she once did.

uhh dude the poster of this art hasn't beat WoL yet I think...

Spoilers are bad and stuff.

anyway I think its more likely that the tendrils were there because Hair is dead cells anyway and as such Blizzard was faced with ether A keeping the tendrils for now or making her bald and she would kinda silly bald.

I think her normal hair will grow in an what not.

also yeah she'll be able to control zerg but that will probably be because of her really really powerful pisonic powers.

I would agree that there is some logic in that. In my opinion, it's either going to be that or the result of her lengthy exposure to the Zerg.

My apologies for the spoiler though.

No prob, I have collector's edition and I've already watched the DVD with all it's CGIs when I couldn't install the game. I blame it on the internetz.

I'd gladly do the same thing, despite the fact that most if not all of the storytelling is done in the cinematics anyways.

Yeah, that would explain a few stuff they mentioned about the Zerg expansion, though I still have to get to the end that damn game. 8D Plz no spoilers. XD

o why Kerrigan doesn't have total control of the Swarm in HotS? just get to the end of WoL it's pretty clear why after that.

also make sure you don't miss ANY missions (Secret mission can be found by blowing up a Science facility in the lower east (or was it west? whatever it was past a bridge and it was the lower one on the level media blitz and picking up the doucments that fall outbut you have to do it before you go to char or else you won't be able to actually do it incase you didn't know all this)

ESPECIALLY the Zeratul missions LOTS of major plot twist happen in those and the last one is really really really fun and badass.

of course you might have done it all ready.
