Description
An old, old photo I took at the Sylvan Heights Bird Sanctuary, in the area where some of the species could fly around freely. One was the budgie, which you may have seen before as a pet. These birds are very used to human contact; you were allowed to feed them straight from your hand, and when they saw you holding a stick of seeds, you became some seriously hot stuff in their eyes. This guy was content just hanging around on a nearby branch and was polite enough to pose nice and pretty for the camera. I would love, LOVE to revisit here with my Canon... This visit was before years of photography classes and experience, with a simple Kodak EasyShare; some of my favorite - and most successful - pictures I've taken come from that little camera at this location. Remember what you shoot with doesn't always mean much: It is the craft of dedication!
