another year passed by and only five more months until infinity war / 7 ;

anyways;;; i'm sorry for being inactive on here and basically abandoning my account without any explanation or notice. i don't rlly have plans to come back and if i do it will be through a new account ( if i do make a new account, i'll leave a notice here ). as for my art, i've been more active on my tumblr account ( tooru-tea // feel free to tell me your tumblr accounts if you want to / v ;; ).

2017 summary of art
this year i started out very confident with my art. i felt so proud of my art ( although now that i look back on it, i cringe X'D ) and it was actually fun working on each piece that i did. it wasn't until about august that i started producing less and less art. i started doubting both my art style and skill level. i've always struggled with comparing my art to other's but i came to a realization that my art wasn't going anywhere. yes, there is definitely improvement compared to older art but when it came to drawing more dynamic poses, nothing came out the way i wanted. i've always stayed in my comfort zone and never really experimented with my art. just take a look at the thumbnails of this summary and you can see similarities in each piece. with that being frustrating enough, i also want to pursue art as a career. the result of that was that i ended up putting pressure on myself and just bullied myself into a long art block that i'm just barely climbing out of.

this year as for my art has been nothing but experimenting with my style ( which is why november's piece kinda stands out ). i almost didn't want to put this together because i thought it would discourage me but in actuality it gave me a spark of confidence to continue and not give up on art.
as i said in my last summary, for 2018 i'm definitely going to continue working on my anatomy and straying from my comfort zone. i am rlly looking forward to this year art-wise and i hope i can feel proud of my art by the end of the year. ^ ^
