Glad to hear. I just hope to have enough money by the time I like one again. I only have $20 for the week even though I got payed last night... A dentist's payment went through recently but I only had $10 in my account when it did so I got charged with a $30 overdraft fee. That was a little over $100 right there. And the week before this I didn't have a whole lot of hours so that was pretty much my entire paycheck right there...

OTL? I've never been good with acronyms like that... But yeah, I'm thinking of taking that feature off of my account. I might be willing to keep it if they lowered to say $20 but... The chances of that are slim to none...

But yeah, rough couple of weeks here. I've got another week coming up here that's going to be mainly off time. I like my days off, but the lack of hours hurts. I kinda wish I could get the same number of off days but have 7 hour days instead of 5. That'd be great. But yeah, I should be able to hang in there. I'm nothing if not resilient.

where do you work at? just part time I'm assuming? I work part time too and money wise it's pretty difficult so I understand what you're going through : C  Is there any way you could request more hours at work?

I work at a local Dollar General here in Texas. And yeah, it's Part Time work. Though I'm used to getting closer to 30 hours rather than closer to 20. And no, apparently someone has the idea that hours need to be cut rather than added when hiring new people... It just doesn't make sense to me... :/ I don't know if it's our new manager or if its the people higher up that tell him how many hours he can allocate but... Someone just isn't making sense. I just have to hang in there for a little longer and things might be back to normal.

And knowing the words to an acronym help a lot more with me... Like when I found out what FML means.  Though, that one didn't take too long.

ah I actually work at dollar tree lol what a coincidence. They don't like to give us more than like 4 days a week (a normal shift being 4 hours) if our hours get too high then they have to pay us **health insurance** and of course they wouldn't want that right? I actually get more hours then everyone else since I've been there the longest and know my job pretty well, but still that's only 16 hours a week at most unless I have to cover for someone (I'm the only one who's decent at closing so luckily I don't have much competition for the hours).  A lot of the other workers do get their hours cut though :C When we hire more people but some of our employees are only getting two days a week it's kind of a sad sight, guess that's the way it works in stores like that though; I like my job though, the people there are great and luckily I don't need a lot of money to survive in my current living situation, but I'm not sure how some of my co-workers who have families and lots of bills to pay get by :'O

Yeah, it can be rough. But only about 4 hours a day for 4 days? Ouch... :/ What's the wage? Minimum?

But yeah, I like my job and (most of) the customers that come through the store. I've got a good group of people that love me and my quirky, happy, nature. :3 And of course I love them right back. I can't help but smile when I see a familiar, friendly face in the store.

yeah minimum wage, I make a little more than that because we get a raise every year though @ p @

hehe I'm the same with my customers~ we get a lot of regulars coming in and it's always fun to see them and chat a bit <3 makes it not so bad at the end of the day~

Same. I just hit my 1 year mark in October. Just in time to start losing hours... :I Still, it's not as bad as a week way early in the year where I had NO hours... I was like "What? Not one day? o-o".
