well this took a long time because it's so complicated. The reason it looks smooth is because I drew it at a really high resolution so when you make it smaller like it appears on DA, all the little flaws are minimized and you can't see them.

haha no it's not cheating, almost all professional artists paint at high res. That way the picture can be printed out at a large size without looking pixelated. Low res images are really only good for web viewing, if they're printed out they look crappy.
