Skill: Defender- Rook can shift and harden parts of his body to use as shield or blunt weapon against enemies. Rook is able to withstand powerful attacks that are made to these shifted portions but he is more susceptible to heavy weapons such as hammers which could shatter his shift. If this happens Rook will shift back, maintaining damage from the attack. Rook is not able to shift more than around 10 percent of his overall mass, and cannot shift more than two limbs or large areas at a time.

History: Rook was created as a birthday gift to an alchemist's daughter, Camelia. He was meant to be her shield, her protector as well as a companion to keep her company.

Growing up rook and the other servants, Peril and Sell were not treated as equals in the household and would always eat separately. They weren't allowed to learn to read or write or study in anything other than hobbies and combat. Rook spent a large portion of his time finding ways to entertain himself through crafts and cooking for the family. He would also spend countless hours training and sparring with the other servants to hone the skills he was given.

During their last years in Pomelo Camelia's father was seen less and less. Trusting the now grown creations to protect her, he would leave for long periods of time to do business with hybrids outside the country. While he was gone however, Camelia had insisted she go with the others on an errand into the city. Being that they were her servants after all, the group hesitantly obliged. During their trip there a scout happened upon Camellia. They spoke to her about the school, sparking her interest but when she declined, the pushiness of the scout startled her and she ended up causing a commotion. Thanks to her protectors, the situation was quelled but the scout had seen enough and sent for the girl to be drafted.

Overview: Rook is very to himself, he spends a lot of time alone with his own interests. He isn't concerned with making friends but he feels a strong attachment to Sell and Peril, even if they don't seem to feel the same way. Rook is in a sense the "big brother" of the group and is always there to quell drama or break up fights.
