So, this is the Marionette surrounded by the five souls of the missing children. The little one he is holding in his hands is Charlotte, the girl who possessed him in the game. When the Puppet found the first dead child (Max, the blonde little one), he really wasn't sure of what to do, therefore he just decided to keep him along with Charlotte. But when he started to discover more and more dead children, he decided it was time to search for people to take care of them. Therefore, he trusted the withered animatronics to be their guardians.
Anyways, I think it's a very bittersweet thing that the dead children could still find someone like the Puppet to comfort and protect them, even after those horrible events. You can guess with that how Marionette feels about William Afton :/

Hahahahaha when making them I was thinking how marshmallow- like they seem X'D But yes, I also think they deserve at least a happy ending; that's what I like the most about drawing Puppet and the children. We have the freedom to imagine what happens next, (and because I am an angsty little shit) I think Puppet might be my favorite character of them all (And Freddy of course huehuehue)
