Description
Fading everything to black and blue
You look a lot like you
Shatter in the blink of an eye
You keep sailing right on through
-Counting Crows
-----------------------------------------------
Since the weather refuses to lighten up, I am forced to produce a sombre-toned photograph. I hate the winter, just look at that dark veil of cloud...
I know I recently did an umbrella piece, and I know umbrellas are ridiculously over-used in conceptual photography. There is a reason for that though; umbrellas are awesome. There should be a stamp in support of umbrellas... (someone make one!)
Anyway, this is my brother modeling for me once again, as I apparently have no friends.
Photoshop for levels, channel mixing, dodging/burning, noise reduction and cropping.

I think this is awesome. . . what would be a cool idea is if you made a follow-up of the person rising with the umbrella in sunlight. Just a thought. I love it though.

That is so beautiful.
I think it captures a moment that no one really knows what is, but it makes sense anyway.
I think it would be pretty cool if you did a girl falling in a navy blue dress.

But that's just how my mind works.

I was a fave whore on your gallery, sorry. Ahh, even the things that are "overused" seem to take on a different tone in your works. I love them. <3

Er...what's on his hand? Is it a watch?
This picture - although it MIGHT be impossible - looks like it's real. As in, it could really happen (falling without the help of an umbrella... being envious of Mary Poppins, probably.) That's what's in my mind right now. Plus always posting colourful, bright photos CAN get a little boring. Occasionally, producing a sombre-toned photos can actually refresh your mind...or someone else's(not that I have any personal experience for the first
). Also, would you mind if I used this picture on my iPod? Sorry for the random question.

I love umbrellas. Eric Satie, 20th century pianist and composer, was obsessed with umbrellas having nearly 200 of them when he died. That little fact always makes me chuckle. I also just love the visual of float/falling.

y'know i actually really dig the leg angle on this...the twisted effect adds to the sense of falling from high up. heh, it already looks like he jumped out of a plane without a chute O.O
