Description The comic is up on Drunkduck, so go there for updates, since I probably won't add new pages here right away.

This is the third page.

Commentary originally posted on Aug 27, 2009:
"This is serious medical drama we're talking about here. Kite's pride may never recover...

Congratulations to TakeshiG for figuring out those silhouettes. The importance they share is simply that they were the final enemy of each of their respective seasons of Digimon, well the "Big" ones anyway (As you'll notice that I didn't use Lucemon Larva Mode or the Yggdrasil Crystal).

I've started to use markers instead of adding the colors in on Photoshop like I did in the second page (Although I just used all black markers on the first so its not a huge jump). This method has given me mixed results, as I like how this shortens the time I have to spend sitting in front of a computer screen, but the colors just aren't as clean. I like how it gave Numemon's sludge trail a real sewage-y look, but in the case of Kite's shadowed classmates laughing at him... It just looks weird. That's just one more thing I'll have to work out in the future.

Just to make sure no one forgot that this was a Digimon comic, I have added more Digimon on this page. At the Academy all students are allowed Digimon partners, but only In-Training Level and below Digimon are allowed in the classrooms. Rookie Level and higher roam the halls or wait in the dorms. There is also a nursery and various places for them to exercise. There are classes specifically for Digimon, but they are unpopular.

Goggles however... Are quite popular. Is this just a Digital World thing or a breakthrough fashion statement?

A new character is introduced, but don't expect him to stick around long. He's based on Newton from the Digimon World Dawn and Dusk games, but aside from the knit cap, glasses and partner Digimon they really don't have all that much in common. He's got a nice shirt though.

Another oddity... No one has shadows on this page. Crap, mental notes must be taken to avoid such mistakes in the future. What?! Go back and change it? Sacrilege!

I'm going to try and start a weekly update thing and see how long I can keep it going. If it works out for long enough updates may become more frequent until I figure out my limit. Don't forget to check it out next Friday to see if I can even make one week! New bat time, same bat channel!"

Yeah...

P, the lines are a bit too thick for good reading and character recognition...

Lines, you say? Well I'm still working on the inking thing and I'm a flat out newb at the marker stuff, so I figured there would be issues, but I didn't think it would be particularly hard to read. I believe I need smaller pens, but I've tried that and I often find that I press down too hard and thats probably the problem thats gotten me into this mess in the first place. But besides that it ruins the pens... But like I said I'm working on it.

sometimes i use metal tipped gel technical pens. i don't know if that's the correct name... but the metal tips are good to keep the lines tidy and consistant.

you do that dude. 0.25 would be a good one to get the sharp edges. you'll need a 0.4, and maybe 0.5
