Moved to Colorado, and we're surrounded by red rocks. There's definitely some amazing geology out here, and it worked out using the paints on a sketch I made a while back.
My works like this are definitely influenced by the amazing woodcut artist Walter Joseph Phillips
The way he did rocks, trees... an amazing blend of Japanese printmaking and American landscapes and always an inspiration.
