This scene is about a depressed poet, who lives a lonely life in his small flat and writes stories and poems which after all no one wants to read. Therefore he is so poor that he can only afford yoghurt to eat and is so depressed that he tends to chew on a cactus (with mustard of course) to numb his emotional pain. (Please don't try that (aswell as don't hurt yourself in any other way)!)
