Description
First of all no this is not a new character xD You've seen his design in my scraps before
But officially meet Backfire guys! 
So yeah I just really wanted to finally draw this guy properly. I've had him for over a year and only now does he see the light of my main gallery xD I really like him though c: Very random drawing otherwise, I litterally just saw Backfire standing in the snow in my head and decided to realise that vision
So enjoy guys!

But look at this! Oh it's so pretty and dang you did that snow well. e.o How do you do that? I love those few little pices of grass sticking up. So cute!
The feeling of this picture is just... yeah. I mean, the one horse in the middle of a snowstorm, nothing to be seen but snow, snow, and more snow... it just... wel in some ways it makes me feel lonely, but I do love the picture.
I really, really, Realy love this boy here. I think I may have seen his design, but he looks so good drawn here all shaded pretty and with a background and everything. It adds a character to a design which just makes me love him even more. I love how he's got the light tail and the dark mane by the way! LOVE! And those eye stripe-thingies, loving that.
I want to learn more about him!!

Okay both are actually pretty simple so that's nice c;
I start making my snowflakes by making a new layer on top of everything. I dot this layer with white spots that differ in size and form. Also I've made myself a dotty brush so I can fill the canvas faster and make them more random. when this is done I click on the free transform thing and then warp. With the warp function you can make the snow flow in different directions and make it come from a certain point. Just try it and you'll quickly see what it can do for you c: When this is done you have fluttery snow but I often lower the opacity of the layer a bit and/or use a gausian blur on the snow. And then you repeat this on a layer further down, so further in the background. Only this time you make smaller dots so it'll add to the depth effect. And you can also make another layer on top or everyting with a few very big dots for some close up snow flakes, I forgot about those in this drawing.
For the snow on the ground I just grab myself a big brush and fill in the area I want to be the ground. Don't use pure white, use a darker white and with a blue hue. I blur this layer a lot so you don't have such a sharp edge. Then I pick a big round brush with a low hardness and a low opacity and flow and check the transfer box in the brush presets. (I actually made a brush with these settings so I can just immediately get the right brush and settings) Then you get a darker colour than your base ground and just mess around I guess? You can try to create little hills and such with this shade. Do the same only with a slightly lighter brush for the highlights. When that looks good I throw a noise filter over my snow layer with an amount around 1 or 2. Then Β despeckle the layer and voila you're done!

Wil gewoon door het scherm heen en in de sneeuw springen het ziet er zo zacht uit
Er is ook echt iets rustgevendst aan het hele plaatje, hoe zijn staart en manen met de sneeuw mee waaien,Β
