This is the Mining And Construction Assistance Unit series of robots, designed to be compact and durable for the dangers and rigors of deep shaft mining operations, with construction as a secondary specialty. Some of their owners and foreman question their unusual design like that of a human child, but the designers figured if they had to be small to fit in mine shafts anyway, may as well make them cute. Now these units are ubiquitous in mines all over the place, performing more than 70% of the labor to spare humans the dangers and rigors of mining. The adorable units are often given numbers or colors on their helmet-heads to differentiate them, and often given cute nicknames by their owners such as Drillby, Tonkie, Derby, Pebbles, etc.
