Description May 24, 2016. Dodge City, Kansas.

As if seeing my first (and second and third and...) set of twins wasn't enough, I also got to see three tornadoes at once! The large one on the left was an EF1 tornado which easily could have achieved a violent rating had it not remained over open fields. The two tornadoes on the right were relatively brief and were separate tornadoes, though I'm not sure if one was a satellite of the other. The dynamics of this storm were absolutely incredible and I have never seen anything like it, nor will I probably ever see anything like it again.

A satellite of the satellite? O-o

A satellite tornado is one in the same circulation but it rotates around the main, or parent, tornado. The small tornadoes were in a different circulation from the big one, so they weren't satellites of it. But I'm not sure if one small tornado is a satellite of the other small tornado, or just how it all went in there. Really weird storm, haha.

Well, in any case, we all know how random and weird tornadoes can be, right?

Exactly, haha. Just when I think I might know something about weather, Mother Nature proves me wrong.

3 tornados in one location!?
That must had one heck of a day.

It was a crazy day. It could have been much worse, but the tornadoes mostly missed Dodge City. If the storm had tracked a mile or two to the east, Dodge City might not be on the map anymore.
