Some more concept art of Em and the dragon knight dude. This would be the scene before the illustration I did earlier this year. There are some things I would like to “fix” but it’s just concept art, I’m learning it doesn’t always have to be perfect. I’ve noticed I tend to paint too dark in procreate and I think it’s because of the iPad back light being so bright. I’m going to try be more aware of this in the future.
Emaré is a very prideful person. She loves helping people but doesn’t like being a bother to others or really relying on others. She tries to do too much on her own and that gets her into bad situations. That’s basically what happened here lol.

All these concept pieces you've been making have been fantastic! I like how dark the forest looks here since that pop of blue light from behind the trees really works to make Emare and the Dragon Knight stand out.

Thank you! It's a good way to get an idea down without hard committing to it haha. Textured brushes help a lot with making shapes and foilage, without having to really draw and render them out. I'm starting to love them more!

You're welcome! Oh, that's so true! One of my goals this year is to produce more concept art pieces like this that actually have finished backgrounds.
