The stream of pallor morning sun illuminated her soft, feminine figure, adding to her ethereal beauty. The locks of her silk tresses glided along the contours of her cheeks, some cascaded in dainty wisps in front of her pert, button nose. How tempting it was for Rin to touch such a thing of radiant allure.
He was infatuated with the way she breathed: deep, breathy inhales through her nose, and cute, little puffs out her peachy mouth. Something so uncomplicated, so ordinary kept him marveling over its simplicity.
Rin let out a sigh of content as he ran a hand through his maroon locks. These moments of serene quietude were rare. He would be out training, and she would be burdened with the plethora of work that college so kindly provided.
The memories of the light-hearted days of youth were so distant, when there was not a care in the world. There was not an ocean separating the two lovers, only roads back then.
But here she was, swathed in the white sheets of his bed. There he was, musing at the beauty of her tranquil visage. Here they were, their hearts bounded by the tie of their love.
She was with him, and that was all he needed.
He was home.
