Thanks!
It's surprisingly fun. What kind of film/lomo? Just take pictures of everything!

That's what I should do, but for some reason I'm bad at that. Despite having a big stockpile of crappy film from a shop near me giving away two rolls every time I got one developed, I still worry about wasting film.
I have a lomo fisheye camera and a lomolito "disposable" camera (you can open it and stick film back in, I love it) with a green flash.
And filmwise, I'm using some cheap stuff I've never heard of that I kept getting for free.

That's fantastic! One summer I used only expired 120 film that this place was selling for a dollar each, as opposed to the $12 it usually costs.
Oh man, I've wanted both of those for quite some time. They both take 35mm? Or 120? Fucking around with 120 was one of my more expensive hobbies. That's the stuff that you usually get the best/most fun results from.

That sounds awesome!
Yeah, they both use 35mm. I don't know if they make 120 fisheye cameras, although knowing them, they probably do. I have two rolls of 120 though, because I borrowed my Dad's old Box Brownie thinking I could use it, but it's so old it uses 600 film. I've got to get around to buying some off eBay, then I can use the spool from it to respool my 120 film. Which sounds like it will be very hard D: But totally worth it if I can get it to work.
Here are some pictures with those two cameras, by the way: [link]

and I thiiiink this one was with the free film (although most of those probably were): [link]

I bought a Brownie Hawkeye with the same hope in mind. I can't remember if mine uses 600 or 160...either way, the secret is the spool and the backing paper from either one of them.

I should maybe get some 600 film for christmas or something. And maybe someone in the photography club in college can help me put it in the camera (you need to do it in a darkroom, right? or am I imagining things?)

Oh yea, you'll need a darkroom.

I'm well into my third year now, and have yet to get around to having them show me how to use them, though.

Yeah, I mean, how do you see what you're doing?
but seriously, they do classes in printing and developing, I really want to learn how.

There is a red light in there. Red doesn't effect the film really at all, at least not in short exposures.
It's actually a lot of fun and really rewarding.

I know, I was joking
Yeah, I bet. I signed up for a printing class on thursday! Don't have any full rolls to use in a developing class at the moment, though.

Awesome! It'll be great.

Hah, I thought it was obviously a joke, but I guess it would actually be a reasonable question...
Yeah, I've got to choose some negatives to print from.

That's a beautiful picture for sure. And it actually looks really natural XD.
At a first glance I figured it to be a really weird 4 way intersection...until I noticed a transparent tree.

Thank you!
They are quirky and you're never quite sure how things will turn out, but they can do wonderful things. Fun sometimes, not so fun others. 120 film is expensive to buy and process, but it's worth it though.

Thanks! Usually the light leaks don't end up yellow, must have been something in the developing.

It is a rather costly love affair I have going on. It helps that I got 14 rolls of film for 32$ though. And thank you.

Bargain!
I spend more money on photography than my flatmate and she's doing a photography degree.
Might have to put my Holga work up on here.

oh i wish i had the money for holga film, ive only used mine with two rolls. then my third was confiscated after photograping a fight at school. i dont argue when police are involved, haha, so i didnt get to see the result.

That sucks. I've got the money to buy the film it's just a pain getting it developed and all that because it's so expensive to get medium format film processed. I don't have access to a darkroom either so...no chance. Not yet anyway.
